Athletics
Hand In Hand Christian Montessori values opportunities for our students to love, learn, and lead. We are thankful for our athletic partnerships where our students can build relationships with teammates, develop and enhance skills specific to their sport, and grow in their character and leadership.

Athletics at Concordia Academy help the body develop, sharpen the mind, and nurture the spirit. Discipline, teamwork, commitment, victory, and even defeat provide rich opportunities to cultivate strong character in athletes, and the CA athletic department’s commitment to this cultivation of character is equaled only by the goal of fully developing the athletic talents of each student. Exceptional, dedicated coaches put the mission of the school front and center as they help student-athletes grow.
Liberty Classical’s student-athletes seek to bring honor to God by developing the gifts and abilities He has given them through teamwork, sportsmanship, courage, humility, and respect in sport. Together with their teammates and coaches, our student-athletes use the lifelong skills they learn through competition like relationship building and perseverance to best exemplify Liberty’s Body of Values both on and off the field.

Mike Peterson
Athletic Director
I was a three-sport athlete in high school and played basketball in college. I believe athletics are a powerful way to build character, teach life lessons, and develop young people. I am a father of four boys, all active in sports, and I have coached at various levels over the years.
I am excited to grow athletic opportunities at HIH, strengthen partnerships with our co-op schools, and build a connected, thriving athletic community. My role includes facilitating sports offerings, fostering community among student-athletes, and overseeing all athletic communications.
